Are there questions you'd rather not be asked?

Page is part of Questions in which you can Ask a question.

There are some questions I think are inappropriate to ask people (who are not your best of friends) unless they bring up the topic. Here are a few:

What do you do for a living? (Suppose the person is currently unemployed?)
How old are you? (Suppose they don't want you to discriminate against their age?)
How much do you get paid? (for obvious reasons)
How many persons have you "been" with? (for obvious reasons)
Are your parents still together? (suppose they were never together; suppose the person was adopted by a single person)
Are you close to your mother/father? (Someone actually asked me once and I didn't know her like that)
How many brothers and sisters do you have? (do I have to explain?)

what do you think? Are there questions you'd rather not be asked?

  1. Sometimes the little things help people see things more clearly. I have a "ask and you may recieve policy". But I'm a pretty normal person, an open book, so I'm not really interesting.
