Had breakfast on the road and walked around a bit. The constant sea breeze was a refreshing change from the summer heat of Kingston. More pictures of the church.
In terms of beaches Frenchman's Cove may be the smallest beach I have ever been to in Jamaica. But this does not mean that it is without its own merits. The very nature of a cove means that you get nice big waves and the additional benefit of a cool fresh water stream that runs in to the sea. It is the best of both worlds - a river and a beach. It is pretty far away from everything aka Portland and requires an admission fee but it is well worth the trip at least once.
They finally fixed up the Mandeville town center park and it seems the fountain is working again. But the park is all locked up now, except for special occasions and holidays. What is the sense having a park locked up all the time? Just have the police walk through it a couple times a day. Especially since the police station is just across the road!
