Street Photography » Fishing in the rain 3

photos by owen, published 2020-Dec-10, comment

As I arrived at the exit of the mall I caught this lady in the process of what I later realised was taking off her slippers then running out into the rain. This is one of those shoot first ask questions later moments. If was a little quicker I would have gotten the whole thing. Better luck next time. The other picture is the second shot of the guy running out into the rain.

There isnt much to shoot down by the waterfront; the water, fishermen, people sitting on benches, sea gulls, guys diving off the dock and of course the water. So I have to make the best of my environment.

Street Photography » Coronation Market, part 6 of 10

photos by owen, published 2020-Dec-06, comment

As I explained in a previous post I take tonnes of pictures when I visit the market because they are tonnes of people and lots of things going on at the same time. Everyone is busy trying to sell off before the sun gets too hot and high in the sky. Hustling tends to take up alot of Jamaican life.

In these shots people are setting up Tarpaulins to shelter from the blazing heat of the morning sun. Below this vendor is arranging his Yams.
