What can I say? James Cameron is at it again with another 3 hour cutting edge movie. Is it a spectacle? Yes. Does it do anything particularly new? No. The 4dexperience in itself is new and you can tell that the movie was made for 4dx or 4dx was made for the movie - I am not really sure but in either case its an experience when I would recommend just for the novelty. Bring a blanket if you do not like being cold.

The 4dc is like a roller coaster its fine but I am mostly reviewing the movie. 4dx does pretty much the same thing as 3d glasses did for the first Avatar. It adds alittle extra but it does not change the fact that you are watching a 3 hour movie that repeats almost everything that made the first movie good.

There is not point in even talking about the story. The story exists to get you from point A to intermission to B. Every scene that happens will give you deja vu of something that happened in the first film. A few dumb things happen that lead to other things. Things that do not matter. The director has a formula for doing things and its more obvious in this movie than ever. For example in titanic there is a scene where jack is running/being chased on the ship deck that scene is in this movie pretty much beat for beat. Falling from a great height through jungle canopy? yup. Everything is here.

Conclusion

My rating 6/10. Pretty much the same movie as the original Avatar. The shots are the same, the plot points are the same, the villains are the same. It is the same movie except with whiny kids, more vehicles and more weird animals. 4dx adds alittle but you are sill watching a carbon copy. Its not bad.
