Accidents and Road Fatalities

2021 was a record year for car accidents in Jamaica. I dont think they ever had so many fatalities since the 90s. Young drivers, old drivers, blind people everybody is crash and dieing at a high rate. Lots of MarkX, Voxys and Taxis. Luxury car accidents are rare but they are sprinkled in there as well. These are all actually very safe vehicles but a combination of factors lead to the drivers exceeding the safety limits of the vehicle. It is not always of fault of the driver or extensive speeding combined with over taking. Sometimes its a case of being too comfortable. Be safe. Be vigilante. Check your tire thread, and suspension. Dont drive when you are tired.

Hellshire main road

I usually post pictures of main Hellshire beach but there is also an easily accessible beach all along the coast between Boardwalk beach and Hellshire beach. Though without the extra comforts afforded by an established public beach.

Continuing on my tradition. Last set was in July 2021. As expected the water front is still evolving. St. Catherine, Jamaica.
