Jewels Lagoon, Runaway Bay, St Ann

written by owen, published 2015-Sep-21, comment

Jewels Lagoon costs 60 USD for adults (group rate, bus load a people, call before u go) and all you can eat fast food. 10:30am to 5:30pm. There is only so much water you can take before you have to sit down and take a nap. I did this about 5 times. It is similar to Kool Runnings in Negril. Good fun for the family.

Little Dunns river, Ocho Rios

The property near the Mystic Mountain is probably the last free beach in Ocho Rios. It is only a matter of time before it gets sold off to the highest bidder. Such is life.

Plumb Point Lighthouse

It was a very overcast morning and the waves were really rough on the rocky shore. I saw a small car go by with surf boards on top. I followed them. Palisadoes, Kingston

Mad Bull commented: Interesting looking beach, yo! Its not the regular Hellshire beach, is it? Where are all the huts selling fish and weed and stuff like that? Where are the goats, and the horse for horseback riding? It must be a different beach! ... read 1 more

St. Mary's Church

written by owen, published 2015-Jul-02, comment

Erected on the 5th day of June Mdccclxi. There is another building across the street that I should have visited for some high elevation pictures but it did not occur to me at the time. You can see that some of the stone work had been redone at some point. Its hard to mimic stonework like they use to do it.
