I walked up the road abit and came upon a cross walk with some shade - you know Jamaica is hot. I took the opportunity to do some "fishing". A technique I learnt about on youtube. It mostly involves waiting around for things to happen. The "decisive moment" as they call it in street photography. I think I got some good shots.
While the mechanic was busy I ventured off and took a bunch of street photos. I shot the whole day in high-contrast black and white. I got some good shots. Here is the first in a set of 12 that I took that day.
In this set there is this large coconut tree behind this huge concrete wall. You can see that the wall was shorter but they added a second level of blocks. I like to imagine that there is a pool/garden behind the wall but I will probably never know.
I am not sure what plant this is but I saw this huge bush of green and instantly thought "macro mode". These are the only pictures I have of it. In the future I need to remember to take me context shots so that I can identify the plant bed.
As I mentioned before in my NMIA post it is that time of year again when I spend tonnes of money replacing all my front-end parts. Cars - as long as you drive them - are always heading towards chaos. Eitherway as expected, installing the parts (10) took all day, with one trip to the machine shop, which allowed me to go out and take some street photos. It was a all black and white day.
