This is a picture I took on a previous day which was in originally in black and white but I often revisit some pictures to see what they look like in colour. In this one I found the blue/cyan was interesting how it blends with the fence and the building behind it. Let me know if you prefer the colour to the black and white version.
I ran out of cash after paying the labor costs at the mechanic so I go to a ATM. My camera still stuck on high contrast black and white. I would rather not visit an ATM - at lunch time because of the long lines. ATMs are a melting pot of people even in COVID19 times because people need cash more than they need bitcoins. I took a few shots to end the day and the set.
These old residential buildings are an essential part of the landscape of downtown. Sandwiched between ghettos/garrisons, construction sites and other commercial business. Sitting in wait. You can just imagine the lives that have been lived behind its walls. Usually you will see a 30 year old car or bits of junk everywhere but these pristine examples I saw while on my walk.
Garbage is another nuisance of Kingston Jamaica or practically anywhere is Jamaica. It is a constant battle of collection and education. The National Works Agency Jamaica and various organisations like NUH DUTTY UP JAMAICA are at the fore-front of the effort. Some of the garbage is commercial others are just people dropping plastic anywhere they see an open space or a pile. It is pretty hard to take a picture without a random piece of garbage or unfinished building in the background.
